Welcome to Wingate
Wingate Farms is a subdivision off Highway 315 just north of Carriage Road. While it is a moderate sized homeowners association (about 55 families), to its members it feels like an extended family.
Families typically share assets and such is the case with Wingate Farms. There are about 1.5 miles of paved hiking paths (along with a wood chipped nature trail), three golf holes, tennis courts, a large covered picnic pavilion, two ponds and several common areas filled with flowers and flowering trees.
Neighbors have donated park benches along the trails and have donated and erected bird “condos” now awaiting the arrival of purple martins. The west side of the neighborhood common area is forested with numerous deer, raccoons, fox, and muskrats near the pond as well as nesting hawks and large owls. Wingate is fortunate in having only one entrance/exit so there is no through traffic, making it much safer for kids.
